Windows 8 shortcuts really show the power of the Windows 8 operating system. Many of these shortcuts allow you to manouver around the Charms, Apps, and the powerful Search utilities when using Windows 8 on a PC.
To use these shortcuts, you need to hold down the “Start” key first on the lower left of your keyboard and then select the appropriate key that relates to what you are trying to do.
For example… if you wanted to show the Charms which normally show on the right hand side of your screen, you press and hold the “Start” key down and then at the same time, press the “C” key.
The “Start” key is the windows button on your lower left of the keyboard next to the CTL key. It has the windows logo on it.
